So for supper tonight I wanted something, fast, easy, and tasty but at the same time I wanted to offer up a supper that looked like I made a HUGE attempt. So what could I make that not only would fill all those descriptions but at the same time satisfy my husband's appetite after a long day of work? Chili. One of man's greatest appreciated foods.
What you'll need:
- 3 LBS of ground beef
- 1 large jar of tomato sauce (about 30 ozs)
- 1 large packet of McCormick Chili seasoning
- 1 large green mango or pepper
- 1 1/2 onions diced
- 3 garlic cloves diced
- 1/4 cup of Brown Sugar
Steps
- Brown your ground beef so as to ensure that all the beef is cooked
- drain beef and dump beef into a deeper pot for cooking and simmering
- Pour all the remaining ingrediants and stir frequently
- Let simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring about every 5 to 10 minutes to allow flavor to cook into the meat and to get a soup consistency
thats all there is to it!!! Enjoy!!! (I served mine with homemade corn bread muffins and shredded cheddar cheese on top, its up to you really how you want to serve it!) This recipe made enough for about 4 people to have at least 2 servings, but since it's just my husband and I we invited my sister in law to partake in supper!!! I would highly recommend this for a quick meal, or for something on a cold winter day!!!
